Found these relics of my youth in my mum’s attic

Found these relics of my youth in my mum’s attic. Growing up in Malvern we teenagers were blessed by having Cherry Red in town. They brought many cool (and not so cool in hindsight) bands to the Winter Gardens. A couple of friends and me from school helped sell records at the gigs which led to the thrilling moment when Mick Jones of The Clash signed my shirt (a collarless granddad shirt, for the record). Richard Jones of Cherry Red designed the tickets and produced a fanzine type leaflet, many of which I unearthed in an old suitcase. The gigs reflect the times, a cusp between old school rock and punk. Heady days!

Each of my three laying hens lay a different colou

Each of my three laying hens lay a different colour egg. So the little brown one is Dusty’s (a Copper Maran), the white one is one is Cilla’s (a black and white Leghorn) and the light brown one is Sandy’s (a rescue hybrid). It’s pleasing to identify them and to be able to thank them individually.
